Had this storm hit the Berkshires pre-Covid, it really would have been a lot of fun for everybody. All schools would have called off school by the end of the school day today or in the evening, giving students, staff and administrators a relaxing night and a leisurely start to the today.

While many students are enjoying a lazy evening and will be sleeping in tomorrow right now, several districts will be business as usual tomorrow but fully remote. Bah humbug. Send your love to the poor students stuck in a Zoom class tomorrow.

The snow day isn't dead just yet, but it's definitely sustained significant flesh wounds.

Classic nor'easter setup.

Snow has either started to fall or it is about to fall (as of 7:30 PM). The big blue wall coming from the south is ready to unleash its fury on the Berkshires. There has been no change to the forecast. Berkshire residents will be dealing with at minimum a foot of snow by midday tomorrow. At some point later tonight, snow could come down at 2-3" per hour.

Snow totals are up again!

Higher elevation towns in our county will be in the running to top the lists of highest snowfall totals (for all of New England) once this storm ends. Our money is on Florida.

Enjoy the snow, everyone, and stay safe. Expect it to wind down around noon on Thursday. We'll have reports throughout the day tomorrow with storm snowfall totals.
