Put it on the board! The early release proved to be the right call and the super delivered. Also, the call came in shortly after 5:30, which makes it easier on everyone.
The snow day royal flush is very much alive as we gird ourselves for phase two tonight. Twelve to 18" more on top of the 6" we'll get today. Here's today's projected snow total:

GSD strongly endorses calling in tomorrow's snow day this afternoon or early evening. We'll keep the updates coming throughout the day.
Does this mean shortened periods??
ReplyDeleteWe'll find out when we get there, but most likely we'll rip through seven periods.
ReplyDeleteGSD, Can your staff speak with the Super to encourage (or beg) her to call the SD for tomorrow TODAY??? Pretty please???
ReplyDelete7 pds. 27 min each. A chance to get something done before going home to a hot lunch. :)
ReplyDeleteI am feeling all warm and fuzzy... Feel like we're making history here. Two delays AND an early release in one season. GSD, has this ever happened before?
ReplyDelete10:30 AM not to sure if this was the correct call after all. Not one town truck has even made a pass by WES. Please be careful at 11:15 the roads are horrible!!!!
ReplyDeleteSome schools in NY obviously do not follow GSD and are scrambling now. Perhaps GSD should be the 'go to' for superintendents in a 50 mile radius! Berlin (NY) Schools are already closed for 2/2. Anyone want to follow their very wise decision - oh super Super???
